all ihave to do is send my block out to get sleeved and send my head out to get done and tranny work...im gonna use my stock tranny untill my break in is over and once thats over im hopeing to have the money to get the tranny i need to put it in and throw the turbo on in a weekend then it will be ready for a tune...buuut these last little things i need are the most expensive..damn toyota!!! Shocked

just to clear some things up...i have not sold any parts to my celica..yes i posted my parts up for sale a while back when i was considering putting my car back to stock because i miss it..i do remember talking to maynard about that...and because ppl on newcelica were bitching when they messaged me about buying them and i backed out i just posted that they were sold...i take back my first state i have not sold any aftermarket parts i have sold a couple stock parts to the celica..if no one belives me feel free to ask shawn,, twinkiie, or kyle...i just wanted to clear that up so i quit being texted and asked about it and then not being believed...now with that out of the way and cleared up i expect to she will be back on the road for break in by summer...i know i said that last year but thats my goals for the winter..honestly to get it back on the road for break in i just need machine work and maybe my standalone but since im running no turbo for break in i believe that my stock ecu and injectors will be fine for the time being

So from what I'm getting from reviewing the thread, the car is basically in the same stages as Jacob's?

Also, I just realized this: your engine bay is blue but your car is white? Why didn't you just go ahead and spray the whole thing? That's one of the nicest shades of blue I've ever seen.

And what's the difference / advantage of the 2ZZ vs. the 1ZZ? I'm hardly knowledgeable on engines, let alone Toyotas. I only know of the 4AGE, 1JZ, and 2JZ. Is the 2ZZ just a baby 2JZ in a sense?

The 2ZZ and 1ZZ motors are very similiar except for a few things. 2ZZ has VVTL-i aka LIFT and the 1ZZ only has VVT-i. 2ZZ has about 40 more hp than a 1ZZ stock. 2ZZ was the "performance" model and 1ZZ was the "economy" model basically. 2ZZ are 6 speed manual and 1ZZ is 5 speed, although you can swap trannies on both.
