tires are on and the ray's are mounted up. Flush status but not hellaflush which is what I don't want. Will post pics tom. Went with nankang nsII tires. They've been around for a long time and are even a tire that ford uses for oem replacements. I love them. Car hooks up so much better. No wheelhop whatsoever on my 1-2 shift. Did a few launches earlier on the street and have no problem spinning while leaving at 3krpms. Looking to hit the track soon and see how much lighter wheels, spacer, and good tires have helped out

So after rocking the wheels for about a month now one thing is bothering me-I need coilovers badly! Unfortunately for me I have to pay a hefty price of around 800 bucks for an entry level set. Not too bad though. I'm going to see if raceland (same company that makes gofastgrandpas) manufactures them for nissan. If not that I may pick up a set of d2s or megan racing ones for around 700.

Nitrous is officially waiting until next year. With my test pipes and tune I think I'll be happy with this car. Plus I don't want to cheap out on my nitrous setup and I want to do it right the first time. So winter is going to be very interesting for the z. Plans are:

Coilovers
Upgrade the brakes to brembo calipers/rotors
Install SPL Subframe Bushings
Install 4.08 gear
Install GT Spec Traction Arms
Install GT Spec Chassis Brace
Custom Fabb'd Intake Manifold
If I don't get around to the intake manifold, I will be polishing the current one
DynoTune Nitrous Installation
Possibly drop the trans for a new flywheel/clutch
Install EVO-R Race Shifter

I want to get all my suspension components intact. I'm a big fan of suspension bracing as it dropped a few tenths of my buddy's z28. That is the difference between low 12 and a high 11 sec pass

Sounds like a nice plan. I love suspension upgrades. Just being able to hug hard corners and barely let out on the gas is soo awesome. Smile

yea lowering springs are ok but nothing beats a good set of coilovers..alot of people make mistakes and buy really cheap ones and dont like them..wehn it comes to coilovers you can not cut corners

I'm going with BC Racing BR Coilovers. A lot of good reviews and the best bang for the buck out there. Yacob I suggest you look into them as well since I recall you mentioned ksports a while back. They offer 36 way adjustable dampening. Plus even with the car all the way dropped, the spring still has full travel, unlike the ksport kit when fully dropped limits the spring rebound rate. However it doesn't stop there. I'm going with eibach adjustible camber arms and kinetix racing a arms up front. I'd rather spend the cash on that rather than new tires all the time.

Update:
went to the track this past sunday. still cant do better than a damn 14 flat! Heat was a major issue since with just i/e i was trapping 103mph and only trapped 99mph on these runs. On a plus note wheelhop is gone. No more scary 1-2 shifts anymore. The car has 13s in it especially with a 103mph trap speed. Also found a cheap suspension mod to brace mu subframe so im gonna give it a shot for next time. On a plus note it was fun to pick on a few muatangs-especially with weld skinnies up front and slicks out back. [quote]

salts you've never been to a single strip at all? I'm disappointed. I definitely want to take my car to a few strips next summer. Smile

If we go it's to orp. I'm about done with no limit. Even though they are really lax I'd rather turn some better times.
