I prefer linkage trannys because they feel a lot better in my opionion. Plus, don't have to adjust the cables, worry about cables binding, etc. It just feels better. My h22 trans was very notchy and my d series trannys have always felt better

Cable uses cabkes from the shifter to the tranny to shift. Linkagw uaes a metal rod from the shifter to the trabs to select gears

I think the majority of cars are done with linkage... right?

I drove a 94 VW Corrado earlier this summer and it had the cable setup... Hated it a lot

most fwd cars are cable. My car is direct linkage. Most of your cars are cable
