Ok so here's what's going on, I have a few people going for sure. We have an estimate on the dates. Club3g is either going during the summer or fall. The guys that set up last years trip have a wedding to attend this year so they can't go on the same weekend. Last year Club3g's event was on Memorial Day Weekend and the weather was nice. I would like to go again on Memorial Day weekend. If you guys want to we can do two trips this year. We can go Memorial day weekend and when Club3g goes, or we can just go Memorial Day weekend. Here is the option: we can either stay in a cabin in the mountains or we can stay in a hotel downtown. Personally, I've only stayed in the cabins and they are nice, but it's a bit of a drive to get to town. If we stay in a hotel, we are downtown near all the action and will have off street parking. It's a huge bitch to find parking in gatlinburg. If you have any questions comments or concerns you can reply to this thread, pm me, email me, or text me. Here is the list of for sures:

Just a thought if I go:

I've got my dads side of the family in crossville, which is about 45 min west of knoxville. My aunt and uncle have a lot of woods in which we would be able to camp in no problem. Plus get a little bit of southern hospitatlity and probably a damn good catfish fry.

So long as it isn't raining, camping sounds like a beautiful idea!

Im still all for the cabin in the mountains......... Im very set on that haha... hot tub mountains lakes cabin and cars... thats the perfect getaway for me...

if this all plays nicely we might just have to go with a cabin, i mean so far we have 17 people and 11 cars going

Also, we need as many walkie talkies as possible with the longest range possible for the trip down there and while we are in the mountains. While we are in the mountains there will be no cell service. My walkie talkies are motorolla and they range up to 20 miles so if you can get your hands on some or buy some you'll need them, I'd like to have at least one device per vehicle.

Ok here are a couple of options to start off with. I found a cheap hotel called The River Terrace Hotel and it's $89 a night for a double queen room or $89 a night fir a single king room or I found 3 really nice cabins that sleep 6 people each for $235 a night and all three cabins are together. The cabins are about $125 a person for the trip and the hotel is about $67 a person for the whole weekend if you get the double queen rooms and have 4 people in that room. So knowing that let's make a decision. What everyone can afford. The hotel seems to be a better option since some of the people going are in school and have a very limited income.

I personally want to stay in a cabin but I understand that not everyone has the money to spend. I'm down for whatever.

I'll let you guys know if I'm a definate or not once I get my taxes done. I need brakes badly as well as front tires so I may have to sit this one out. Plus with the move i've got to buy a damn oven.

I vote cabin... because u said u found some bad reviews with the hotel right... and a cabin for only 58 bucks more. thats pretty big jump hotel to cabin for that cheap of a diff...

Alright, im going to have to make resurvations towards the end of febuary so i need to know who all is going on the trip, once i have that number then i will make sure the good cabins are still available and collect the money for them

Hey salts, update your original list on post #1 if its not already updated. We definitely need good communication here with this trip considering the cabins aren't cheap. You can count me in. I don't care if I have to take a point at work, I'm going.

Update, if you want to go on our trip to Tennessee you must let me know before Sunday March 5th. NO WORD BY MIDNIGHT(12PM) SUNDAY MARCH 5TH, YOU WILL NOT GO ON THE TRIP UNLESS THERE ARE OPENINGS OR YOU MAKE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS.

but just to b clear if u dont let us know and u decide to go due to an opening. u still have to pay the amount nick has found to be for the housing... and plus a 50 dollar late fee...

wont have to pay $50, or buy beer, but if you have agreed to go on this trip, there will be no refunds. once i get your money then thats the end. if when i get everyones money and there is money left over after booking, i will be returning whats left to the appropriate people.

ok so i update the list of people going for sure, i will need $50 within the next two weeks so that i can book a cabin. we will be staying in a cabin unless they all get booked, in that case i will be searching for a hotel for us all to stay in, with that i will need everybodys money in advance, i wont be able to book hotel rooms with deposits.
