I love the huge connecting rods . Yes they are oem pistons.

I have to send my head to monkeywrench to get new valve lifters. When it comes back, it should be all assembled. The only thing that would need to be done is if not is the cams aligned right and tightened down.

I decided to hold off on a purchase this week so I can make a big purchase next week. I've got about $150 worth of bills and I'll have about $800 in income between now and next friday. Mega purchase! Its all coming together finally.

dumb question but why does the head have to go to monkeywrench? Every dsm I put together didn't have to go to a shop

i need new valve lifters and they are the easiest route to get it done. thats the only reason why im sending it to them

***UPDATE***

I had a minor setback but nothing crazy. One more part to buy and I can send the block off. I did buy piston rings, main bearings, and rod bearings. I got the crankshaft checked out to make sure it was in good working condition. Everything checked out ok.

-header $155
-clutch $400
-flywheel $320

thats $1100, more than ive spent on my car at one time

at the end of it all, I will post my grand total. It's gonna be a lot.

Probably enough to bag my truck and do an engine swap... psh!
